Dr. Rupa Banerjee

Rupa Banerjee is Associate Professor of Human Resource Management and Organizational Behaviour at Toronto Metropolitan University, and Canadian Research Chair of Economic Inclusion, Employment and Entrepreneurship of Canada’s Immigrants. Her research examines employment outcomes of newcomers, a topic on which she has published extensively. Her research interests also include diversity and ethno-racial discrimination in the workplace. Dr. Banerjee’s current program of research focuses on the role of post-secondary institutions and employers on the migration and labour market integration of temporary residents and immigrants in Canada. Dr. Banerjee’s research is funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada and has appeared in leading journals in the fields of immigration and labour.

Dr. Nigel E. Turner

Dr. Nigel E. Turner is an Independent Scientist with the Institute for Mental Health Policy Research at CAMH and an Assistant Professor in the Dalla Lana School of Public Health at the University of Toronto. Turner has a PhD in psychology from the University of Western Ontario. Turner is a well-published researcher in the field of gambling studies. He has extensive experience in a variety of quantitative and qualitative research methods including experiments, surveys, interviews, focus groups, and content analysis. He is one of the leading researchers in the psychology of electronic gambling machine technology and has published papers on the interface between the psychology of the player and the mathematics of the gambling technology.
